Knockatrina Wood Durrow

It’s that time of year again, when the woodlands around Durrow, in Co. Laois, are really in their most picturesque state.

Knockatrina Wood is now abloom with swathes of purple and white, as seas of bluebells and wild garlic dominate the undergrowth. Below is a gallery of recently taken photographs, but to fully appreciate the beauty of whats on show, it really is worth taking a walk around the wood.

The walk itself, to complete the loop of the wood, is only one mile, of unchallenging terrain, so is ideal for all.

There is a large tree, down across the pathway on one section, but a path has been established, to it’s left, that allows you to pass.
